About Ella
A little Bit about Myself
Ella Hardy
From as far back as I can remember, I was always someone who enjoyed playing sport or doing some form of physical activity. So I started playing Waterpolo at the age of 10. I played in the junior competition for 7 years and then hung up my cap to coach the next generation of young players. During this time I was completing year 12 and starting my Masters Degree as a Chiropractor.
Unfortunately things started to fall apart after my second year at University. I was no longer playing competitive sport therefore I had no outlet for the anxiety I was feeling towards my studies. As a consequence, I developed chronic Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) which resulted in significant weight loss. I always had a passion for Health and Well Being so decided to transfer my degree to a Bachelor of Clinical Nutrition. I have never looked back.
The knowledge I have gained through my own illness has helped me have a much better understanding of chronic gut issues. My studies have only cemented the passion and empathy I have towards others who deal with chronic disease and just need a more holistic approach to their overall wellness.
